Story of Tonttu Tärmö
The story of Tonttu Tärmön Paja began when our friend Minna Kurttila wrote a story about the adventures of Tonttu Tärmö as a birthday gift for Ari in 2016. After reading the lively and entertaining story, we came to the conclusion that if we ever started a company, its name would be Tonttu Tärmön Paja. To our own surprise, in July 2017, we found ourselves owning a limited company called Tonttu Tärmön Paja Oy.
We do many different kinds of things, drawing on all the education, experience, and passion we have gathered over the years. Ari describes our work in simple terms: “a little bit of everything!”
Once upon a time, there was an elf named Tärmö. He was the head elf at the Christmas gift workshop in Korvatunturi. Tärmö was very old, but he looked young. He had a red nose, smooth skin, and a cheerful expression. His curly hair, already slightly gray, refused to obey any comb or brush. Despite his age, Tärmö was in excellent shape. According to his wife, that was because he had such a young-at-heart wife himself. Tärmö was energetic and could kick along for miles on his scooter and spend entire evenings playing football with his little elf daughter.
